Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have just been given an orchid bought from the supermarket. I have never owned an orchid before. It is potted in a a sort of bark. There is a nice sprig of white blooms on a tall stem but at the base there is another set of blooms sitting on the top of the bark chips and I can see buds inside the transparent pot. Is this going to grow tall like the other one or does it need to be re-potted? The pot size is about 3.5″.

It is unusual to see the Orchid stay so small, but sometimes there can be unusual growth in plants.
I would not worry about repotting the orchid until it is done blooming. When it is done flowering you can move it into a clay orchid pot.
