Orchid not bloomimg after a year, just long stems

Question

My grandson knocked over one of my containers with an orchid last summer. The plant was blooming and the stems were very long. The blooms remained for a short time but the long stems remain. Do I cut these stems? The leaves keep growing but there are no new stems after a year.
