I depends on where you live and what specific species of lily you have. You didn’t say where you live. You may want to contact your local cooperative extension for tips on dividing and transplanting your lily bulbs at this time of the year. But, very generally, it is safe to divide and transplant them if they are not currently active (clear new root growth and leaf growth).
