Orange Beetles in my soil

Hi. . . .this may be an easy one for some of you but I’m new at gardening. I am in Connecticut. I am weeding in my tomato/cuke/pepper garden and I keep uncovering orange colored beetles that don’t seem happy that I’m digging them up. What are they? And will they hurt my plants? I have one green pepper with a big hole, but nothing else seems to be eaten, does this come later? I appreciate any help anyone can give me. What to do if they are harmful?

It could be the nymph stage of leaf footed bugs. The nymphs can be damaging to plants. This article will help you with their control:
