Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a red store bought onion that has sprouted. I want to plant it but I did some investigating and I found out that it is already in its second year, which means it will only produce seeds. My question is, how long do I have to wait to plant those seeds? Or can I plant them right away? And how do I harvest the seeds when they come?

Here is a blog that will interest you where somebody took a sprouting store-bought red onion and planted it with success. It apparently can be done.
