Oil spray for scale

Your recipe for an oil spray to treat scale says that you can also include a cup of alcohol. Is that rubbing alcohol? Is that safe for trees?

Yes, this will be rubbing alcohol. This will be safe for trees, but only use one application with alcohol to avoid harming the tree.
