Q.Odd branches on indoor palm tree

Zone Prince Frederick, MD | Sfaughnan added on January 19, 2017 | Answered

I bring my palm tree in for the winter prior to first frost. The other day I turned it around and saw odd branches with tiny green balls on them. What could this be?

Your Areca Palm is producing seeds. You can prune these away from your plant.
I did find some information that these seeds may be toxic, so to be safe I would dispose of them in a safe manner.
