Oak tree losing leaves in May

Why is my oak tree losing green leaves in May that appear to be healthy? My tree and trees in a couple of other yards in our neighborhood appear to be doing the same, however there is the same kind of tree all up and down our street that are not having the same issue. Any ideas?

This sounds like it could be Oak decline.

I would also suggest you speak with your County Extension about the issue in your neighborhood.
