Nursing a frozen red bird

I have an indoor red bird that was grown from a cutting of my great grandmother’s plant started 41 yrs ago. A recent interstate move with plants left in a cold car has frozen most of the leaves, but the stalks appear intact. Should I prune heavily and fertilize to nurse it back, or will it further shock the plant?

Cut back the damaged and dead stems.
Leave approx 8 to 12 inches of stem on the plant.

Keep watering to a minimum while the plant recovers.

Do not try to fertilize it into health.

You will need to wait and see if the plant can recover.
