Bean Plants

Q.not too sure why my growing vegtables seem to be dying.

I’ve recently started using the jiffy pods, and in the beginning everything seemed ok. I bought a full spectrum light bulb since they weren’t getting enough sun light in the house and it’s still too chilly to leave them outside. After 2 weeks of using the light bulb for 11 hours a day, the plants started to show, at least some. But beans started to grow first pretty quick and in the morning I noticed one of my bean plants is now leaning onto the soil with a yellow tight pinch in the middle. Other one is my lettuce– it also started to show but just got to laying on the soil also.. why is this happening?

This looks like damping off disease, a fungus that destroys the stem. Standard advice is to wait and plant beans directly in the garden. They sprout and grow so fast and don't have to go through transplant shock this way. This article goes over tips for preventing damping off. https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/garden-how-to/propagation/seeds/what-is-damping-off.htm
