Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comNot sure you can help, but we have toads all summer around (and on) the back of our home. We love them; however, we have recently discovered one has resided in the frame of our doorwall. He appears randomly at the drainage hole at the bottom, but we cannot be sure he actually comes out and not sure if he’s too big to exit, or comes out and goes back in – to screen off the hole so he can go elsewhere…safely.
We actually hear him conversing with another toad under our deck (really funny), but really would like him to be in a safer place and not have to harm him or, better yet, tear apart or replace our doorwall.
You mention they aren’t big on smells, so how do we get him attracted to the outside of the door frame?

From experience, Toad’s can slip into and hide in very tiny areas. I have a few that sneak into my greenhouse each year.
I have found that they tend to move on after a period of time.
