Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comTwo clusters of tulips did not bloom this year. Should I dig them up and replace them or leave them alone? The article I just read said to fertilize them annually with a phosphorus rich fertilizer, but it didn’t say when to do this. I’m getting frustrated with them (but I love them). They look great for two or three years, then they seem to end.

This is common for tulips, unfortunately. Many landscapers simply treat them as annuals because of this. If you want to apply bone meal, now is the time to do it as the plants are storing their nutrients for next year at this time.
