Q.No Buds At All On My Hydrangea

Healthy new growth all over, but not one single bud ? Also my Japanese Anemone was lovely last year, this year started ok, but parts of it looks all crinkly and shrivelled making bare patches.

Climbing hydrangeas are notorious for this behavior. Usually, this is due to a little too much nitrogen in soil. There are a few other reasons, as well.

Your Anemone is likely just slightly overwatered. I would suggest a fungicide. This article will help:
