No Blooms on Zucchini

Question

I have zucchini planted in a wine barrel. It produced 3 zucchini and now there are no more blooms. My cucumbers have tons of blooms, next to zucchini. The zucchini foliage was yellow, and I added some organic vegetable fertilizer. My husband says the wine barrels may be ‘acidic’. Any suggestions on how to improve productivity?
