January: Haven’t fertilized dogwoods for years – if fertilize now with acid fertilizer, will trees produce buds/blooms this spring ? Thanks so much for your time and help…

If the tree is in the lawn it may be getting too much nitrogen fertilizer. Other reasons for not blooming include improper pruning, not enough sun/shade, cold snaps or lack of water.
