newly planted

living in eastern penna. weather very hot then cold and wet i planted several flats of both perennials and annuals. they look awful…small holes decimate the leaves – i finally sprayed with neem tho i dont usually do so this early. cold weather cold feet ??? it seems i may have to start all over the beginning of june! any ideas welcome

Yes, Mother Nature sometimes is quite harsh on our new plantings.

I would trim back any leaves that are dead and damaged. Wiggle the plants, are they taking root or just loose and pull right from the ground?
If the plants pull right out they are likely root rot damaged and you may be best off just removing them.
The good news is, you may find some sales on some beautiful annuals!

Neem is a good choice as it works as post an organic pesticide and fungicide.
