Q.Newly Planted Willow, Dried Leaves

Zone 42240 | phyllisjd2 added on June 20, 2023 | Answered

My willow’s leaves just crispy dried up. The planting is 3 or 4 weeks old. I’m scared to pull to see if roots have spread. The branches appear green….so help, what’s wrong with him?

Sometimes, this can happen when it gets hot or lack water when transplanted. Though, you will want to make sure that it dries down into a few inches before watering again. Once it gets established, you won't have to water, often, at all. Make sure that it is still alive by bending the branches and ensuring that they do so without snapping.
