Newly Planted Hydrangea Browning

Question

I bought these hydrangea and planted them 9 days ago, I live in zone 7. I noticed yesterday that the new buds were brown, not green like they were when I planted. I’m not sure what the problem is or what I can do to help them.

This can happen from overwatering, or too much sun, usually.
