Newly Planted Dogwood- No New Growth

Young dogwood planted about 2 weeks ago, planted correctly thorough watering continues, but no new growth. Does it just need time to adjust and put energy into the roots vs, new growth. . . like transplant shock? Plus our weather has been anywhere from cold to hot over the last month. . . very inconsistent. The leaves just have not grown, otherwise it looks healthy.

It isn’t in shock, it’s just “gathering it’s self together”. It will put on some new growth within a month. Just continue deep watering on a weekly basis until end of September, then monthly till new year. The first year, they sleep: second year, they creep; third year, they leap…standard rule of thumb for tree and shrub growth.
