Newly Planted Bell Pepper

I brought bell pepper plants home from the feed store, planted them, and they seemed to take fine for about 5 days. Now I am noticing that the leaves are beginning to turn white in places, and they don’t look so strong. What’s happening? (Sandy top soil, box gardening, first water bath created moisture almost 6 inches down.)

It sounds like the feed store did not properly acclimate them and they are suffering from sunscald, which is like a sunburn for plants. They should recover on their own, but you can treat them like they have transplant shock to help them recover better.
