New pear tree, very few leaves, enough flowers. What can I do?

Pear tree new to garden, very few leaves, enough flowers, zone 5b, enough water, cold spring, leaves taking their time to appear (we have warm weather now and they are still shy). What can I do? Thanks.

If it is slow to come back in Spring, then it may mean that the cultivar is not suited for your area. There are many suited for zone 5, but there are many that are not, also.

My next thought would be overwatering. This can cause a fungal infection that can cause leaves not to come out properly. It is much better to underwater, than overwater.

Last, they could still be recovering, if these were very recently planted. This could take a few months of recovery.

Including photos will help me to see, exactly, what is going on.
