Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWe planted a new crepe myrtle tree about 2 weeks ago in Maryland. We did a ground soaking every evening for the first week and then this past week we endured about 5-6 inches of rain. The tree has bare branches mainly at the top and browning leaves throughout the tree. My question is – is this normal and should we be concerned that the tree is not going to make it?

This is not normal. It sounds like the tree may have transplant shock. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/environmental/learn-how-to-avoid-and-repair-transplant-shock-in-plants.htm [1]
