Need To Keep A Single Garlic Clove Viable For 3-4 Months. How?

pulled an absolutely massive clove out of some garlic and it made me want to try planting it! i know garlic is a fall crop and it is a softneck variety i think (no central hard spot). after reading the storing garlic article im still confused on how to store only 1 clove, is it possible?

After curing the bulb, store it at 50 degrees F with a relative humidity of 65 to70 percent.
