Naval Orange Leaf Drop

Our young orange tree was recently fertilized and has begun to drop the leaves and shed all of the tiny oranges. The tree has been in the ground in Gilbert for two years. Is this because the tree was over-fertilized? What should we do to help it survive?

Premature fruit drop is often the result of overbearing (which requires thinning), poor pollination or an insect problem.
