narcissus flowering

This year my daffodils and narcissi produced lots of green leaves and not one single flower. What could have been the reason ?

This can be due to an excess of nitrogen or a lack of phosphorus. Either of which can be fixed by adding phosphorus and potassium to the soil. This will, usually, correct this issue.
