Q.Name of plant

Anonymous added on July 6, 2015 | Answered

I have come to live in the US from England and in my English Garden I had a low growing variegated leaf plant with had small white flowers. The name sounded like hutonya or huntonia but I cannot seem to find one here. It is good for ground cover and very pretty purple variegated leaves. Please have you any idea of the name.

I think you may be referring to chameleon plant (Houittuynia). This sounds similar to the ground cover you are describing. Here is more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/groundcover/chameleon-plant/grow-chameleon-ground-cover.htm
