bdoremus added on June 18, 2011 | Answered

My sago palm is in a pot outside and it is growing new growth, but all the tips on the entire plant are yellow brown. What is causing this?

This is a sign either than that plant is underwatered or overwatered. The sago likes to be a bit on the dry side abut not too dry. With this in mind, adjust the water as needed.

Heather,

I kinda knew that. I get that alot. it could be underwatered or overwatered. Is there a way to determined which way it is? I am referring to the Sago Palm having yellow tips on each leaf. the yellow part is about 1/2 inch.
