Q.My Zucchini Won’t Grow All the Way and Then Shrivels Up

Sofia0118 added on May 24, 2011 | Answered

The plants are beautiful. Zucchini starts growing fine but stops at about 3-4″, then starts to shrivel up and turn yellow. . . almost like a prune. I keep reading not to pick them till they are at least 6-10″, but none get that big! What am I doing wrong? This is my first garden. Beans and tomatoes are doing pretty good.

You are not doing anything wrong. Actually, this is quite common. This article will help you with that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/zucchini/zucchini-fruit-fall-off-the-plant-before-they-are-full-grown.htm
