Q.My yucca plant isn’t flowering

Butterflyfairy added on May 16, 2011 | Answered

Do I need to do anything? I pruned my yucca plant 1. 5 years ago in the fall. It is an outside plant and it didn’t flower last year; however, it multiplied like crazy. This year it looks very sad and droopy. . . Will it flower again?

Yuccas are fickle with their blooming, especially if they are young. They may skip a year or two in between blooming as blooming can take a significant amount of energy out of the plant. I would give it some fertilizer to help it bring back its energy reserves and be patient.
