Cycads
Q.

My young cycad has put out two very long new leaves but I think the leaflets are too far apart. What might be the cause?

My cycad is growing indoors with LOTS of natural light. I water it sparingly with a weak fish emulsion mix. I am worried it has grown too fast or hasn’t had the right fertiliser.

This is always a response to not quite enough light. Try moving this to a little brighter of a location. The growth pattern will return to normal shortly after.
