Q.My yellow daffodils started shrinking and dying in a couple of days after I got them home. What’s wrong?
I recently got a yellow daffodil plant with bright healthy flowers. In only a couple of days the blooms started shrinking. About the next day, one bud started growing and reached its full bloom in a day or two. But eventually that also shrinked completely in another 2 days. I only watered them once since I got them and sprayed twice maybe. It’s been only a week since I got them home. I have absolutely no idea what’s going wrong. I have many other healthy plants too such as peace lily, money plant, etc which all seem to be growing just fine with my weekly watering habits and indirect sunlight. Please suggest.

This is the normal process for daffodils. As the weather warms up, they will die off in wait for the cold. In very early spring, they will reanimate and flower again.
If you would like, you can plant them in ground in fall, or leave them in container outdoors throughout the year to let them complete their cycles.
