Q.My Wisteria Leaves Are Shriveling Up Over the Past Few Days

casperhoover added on May 6, 2011 | Answered

I have been watering twice a day for the past few days. It’s a young plant, only planted beginning of last year. The much older one near it doesn’t look too good either, but there are no growths that I can see. Please, any suggestions?

It could be either a root problem, such as root rot or a fungus. Make sure that they are not in standing water or overly wet soil. Treat the leaves with a fungicide. Fortunately these are hardy plants and they can take leaf loss without dying. They should regrow their leaves either when the fungus is gone or the root issue has been resolved (depending on which is the cause of the leaf loss).
