Q.My watermelons are getting eaten by a black and red bug

Some of the leaves are all curled up and look like black tiny bugs on some, and all the ends of the vine are eaten.

I'm sorry, your photo did not come through. I will be unable to identify the pest at this time.

My best guess from the description will be a Boxelder Beetle, or one of the many "Squashbug" beetles.
