Q.My Water Hyacinths Are Turning Yellow In The Pond. I Have 5 Separate Bulbs – 1 Has Bloomed. It Is A Small Pond So I Am Wondering
if I need to only have 1 or 2. Havig a pond is new to us. The hyacinths have helped clean the pond. Just wondering if I am doing ok.

They generally multiply quickly. Are they getting full sun? They need full sun in a pond situation. Are they potted or floating? If they are potted, check the pot for drainage. The roots will rot if they don't have enough drainage. If you think that is the problem, repot in new soil and a pot with better drainage. Also, check the leaves for spider mites. The leaves will have a spotty or mottled appearance and you might see webbing. If that is the problem, treat with Neem oil. Here is more:
