I live the area of South Texas, Zone 9a. When can I prune and cut and my tree and shrubs?

The optimum time to plant most trees and shrubs is January thru March, when they are dormant.

Not every specimen may need pruning so correctly identifying the cultivators that you have in your garden is important.

You can contact your local county extension office for a list of trees and shrubs and their growth size.
