My tree has black stuff like small raised dots on each branch. I live in Perry Florida

All of a sudden yellow leaves and these black spots I should have taken a pic for you

It sounds like sooty mold which often is accompanied by a pest, who secretes honeydew. The mold grows on the honeydew. Scale or aphids could be a problem.
