Q.My Spider Plant Has A Hard Yellow/orange Stem Coming Out Of It With Tiny Plants On The End. Will These Spiderettes Still Grow Or I

Zone London, UK | Julienve added on July 23, 2020 | Answered

s the stem dead? I bought the spider plant a few days ago and the yellow/orange stem was already there when I bought it. I would really like to propagate my spider plant so I am hoping my plant can still reproduce.

Yes, you can plant those plantlets at any time. Just make sure to keep them a little more on the dry side. This is a drought tolerant plant that will not tolerate wet soils.
