Q.cutting back tall schefflera

Zone 63052. Imperial mo | Tazlar added on November 1, 2015 | Answered

My schefflera is very tall. It is now reaching my ceiling and needs to be cut back. How do I do this? It’s about 9 foot tall and approx 30 years old. I don’t want to kill it!! Lol

Pruning a Schefflera is easy, just trim back to the size you are wanting.

Your plant is quite leggy, though so you can only trim back to sets of leaves.
Propagating your cuttings is a way to save a plant that may be to large for the home.
