My seeds are brown, and do I freeze or refrigerate?

I want to save my banana and bell pepper seeds for planting next year, but they are dark brown in color. Are they viable? I am drying them super well and I have small glass jars to store them in when they are ready. Also, do they need to be stored in the fridge or freezer? Thank you so very much and have a most blessed day. Susie

Hm… They shouldn’t be dark brown. I would test a few in soil just to check the germination. Unfortunately, your photo of the seeds didn’t come through, so I am unable to see them.

If you test for germination and find them to be viable, then you can store them in the refrigerator.
