My sago palm is about 5 years old and huge

It produced a half moon shape of brown feathery leaves and under it is a mass of little pods. What are they? Not the new ones in the ground but in the middle of the actual plant pods.

Your Sago Palm has produced a cone.
You have either a male or female.
