My Rose Plants Are Not Showing Any Signs of Growth

I purchased 2 rose plants, I followed the directions and soaked them in water for an hour. One of my plants was starting to grow new stems. I used a mixture of miracle grow potting soil and a mixture of miracle grow moisture control. I trimmed back the stems like it said to do. They get plenty of sun and water, but the new growth has disappeared and the stems are going from green to brown. What can I do to save my plants?

Try air layering your roses or get them from a nursery where these plants are all they sell or specialize in.
