Q.My rose of Sharon was chewed of at the base of plant,roots still in ground. I cut it off on an angle to green. Will it re-grow its

elf? I also cut the rest of th Bush on angle snipped off few bottom leaves dipped in root tone and placed in water. Along with a few branches I cut off side branches that were growing. I did the same. They should root in a few weeks in a shaded well lite area correct?

Yes, and yes! This is a common method for restoring these. Just make sure that your clones stay misted, or under a plastic dome to keep in humidity. This will help them to root faster.
