Q.My Rose Bush Is Losing Its Leaves
I planted it last fall. . . it’s a shrub rose and I was excited about it as it started to grow this spring.
But the leaves started to turn yellow and fall off. Right now it looks like roses on stems, no bottom leaves. The leaves that remain are yellow with black blotches and holes in them — so something is definitely eating them. I’m not sure my rose bush will survive if this continues. Is there anything I can do? It gets lots of sun and the soil seems to drain well. I water it enough to keep the soil moist. I tried fertilizing it as soon as the leaves started to change colour, added coffee grinds, banana peels. Please help.
Have mercy, I think I need a keeper. I'm sorry, but I posted the wrong link.
