Q.My purple trailing Lantana has a bunch of deadwood underneath

Zone Santa Barbara Ca | Sarah1946 added on August 20, 2019 | Answered

The trailing lantana has a bunch of deadwood underneath but at the ends there may be some scraggly living tips.. Can I vigorously cut back the purple trailing lantana to promote new growth? It’s a mess right now.

I am in zone 8

Hard pruning is very beneficial to these plants when you do it at the proper time. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/lantana/lantana-pruning.htm
