Q.problem with Gardenias
The plant leaves are very healthy but the flowers are struggling to open. I have an infestation of white sticky lumps on the base of the plant stems and these sticky lumps are going up the stems and moving across the bank of gardenias which are in a hedge formation. I have tried a Pyrethium Concentrated Spray with no success. Hoping you can help me as it is doing “my head in”.

This is likely a Mealybug infestation.
Neem Oil is a good treatment.
