Q.My Polyantha Rose bush

Zone French Lick, Indiana | Ladyrose77 added on March 16, 2018 | Answered

I just received a beautiful Polyantha Rose bush for my Birthday yesterday and it says to plant it right away. I live in Southern Indiana where the weather is cold, possibly snowing one day and warm the next. Is it still ok to plant the bush? We only have 5 more days till Spring and was wondering if I could plant it

If your plant has leaves, wait to put it out until forsythia is blooming. Get it used to the outside and to full sun gradually over a week. Despite the best care, expect transplant shock - some leaf loss and a droopy appearance for a few days.
