Q.My plant is dying

Zone Pembrokeshire, wales, uk | Sleepyhead added on June 5, 2015 | Answered

I bought a knotted money plant (at least I think that’s what it is) last November. When I bought it there were lots of lovely green leaves on it and it seemed very happy. It also came with a label saying ‘virtually kill proof’ which makes this even more upsetting!

Since then, the leaves started turning brown and falling off. I’ve kept it in my room, which is in the attic and has plenty of indirect sunlight and have watered it once or twice a week. Now it only has one group of leaves but little ones are starting to sprout.

I repotted it today in damp soil, as the roots have turned brown. I may have overwatered in desperation, and also put it outside for a little while thinking it might need more sunlight (probably made things worse by doing this). How can I fix him?

Anyway, if you have any advise I would really appreciate it.

Many thanks,

Florence.

Here is a great article with all the specifics on the care required.
Pachira Money Tree does not like to be moved so this along with correct light, humidity, soil and watering can be the issue.
