figs not growing or getting ripe

My Peters Honey Fig tree has many figs but they do not seem to be growing for several weeks and none have gotten ripe. The tree is in a container and I keep it well watered. Can you tell me what’s wrong?

Fig trees that have fruit that won’t mature are generally stressed.
This usually is a water issue.
