My orchid has lost its flowers from its spikes

My orcid lost its blue flowers and I assume it’s normal. So should I cut the two flower spikes, approx. 16 inches tall, back to the plant?

When the orchid is done blooming you can prune away the old stems.
Your orchid will need a rest period now. You will need to water less, only water when the medium has dried out.
When new leaves began to appear you can resume normal watering and fertilizer schedule.
Repotting can be done after blooming if the roots are to large for the existing pot.
