Q.My Ocotillo Was Blown Over And Broke At The Roots. Can It Be Salvaged?

It was snapped off at the roots by us roots by a strong wind. I’m wondering if I put it in some water if it would reroot

Since it is a succulent it may root easily. I would skip the water and let the cut end dry out for a few days. Then plant it in well draining soil such as sand and moist peat. Here is more:
